Pocket Farming is a customer focused online retailer specialising in the sale of scale model tractors, farm machinery and farm toys.  Our mission is to provide farm model collectors and farming fanatic families with a one-stop shop for all of their small scale farming requirements.  From highly detailed models to fun and robust toys, we specialise in everything related to the model farm.  The majority of our models are Siku, Britains, Universal Hobbies and Wiking, all world renowned brands.

Customer service is at the heart of our business and we aim to be the best in the field.  We have a safe, secure and easy to use website for browsing and finding products and making purchases.  This is backed up with real people at the end of the phone to answer any queries or help with purchases.  Our business is based at a farm, the same place where RC Baker Ltd Agricultural Contractors are based.  This means that we are surrounded by full scale farming machinery and we love finding model versions of the amazing machines we see every day.

We value our customers and aim to provide you with more than just a farm model shop.  Regular newsletters keep our small scale farmers up to date with what’s going on in the full scale farming world and the Pocket Farming Loyalty Scheme is available to all customers offering discounts on future purchases.

Pocket Farming attends a number of shows and events during the course of the year, details of which will be published here on the Pocket Farming website, Facebook and Twitter.  Giving the opportunity to see the scale tractors, implements and other harvesting equipment.  At some events there is also be the chance to take part in radio control tractor competitions!

Our History

• 

  1986

  Jennie Steenkamp (née Baker), a farmer’s daughter from Oxfordshire, and now founder of Pocket Farming has always been surrounded by farm machinery, having grown up on a farm and alongside the family agricultural contracting business RC Baker Ltd. From very early on in life Jennie found herself being taken to school, amongst other places, in agricultural machinery.  A tractor, or horse and cart, outside the school gates was quite normal for Jennie, not seen so much as 'normal' by her school friends!

  2002

  During summer holidays from college and university Jennie would often help out with the family contracting business, seen driving the JCB Fastrac for corn cart, hauling silage or trimming grass with the Bomford topper.

  2010

  Farming technology and the machinery available has continued to grow at a phenomenal rate and the family contracting business, RC Baker Ltd, was often at the forefront of testing new available equipment. With such a fast paced industry it was great to see the collection of model versions grow too so that none would be forgotten.

  2014

  Pocket Farming was established in May 2014 by Jennie Steenkamp, with the aim to provide a one stop shop for collectors, enthusiasts and farming fanatics to purchase model verions of the amazing machinery in the agricultural industry. From early models such as 'The Little Grey Fergie' to the most up to date tractor technology and implements, Pocket Farming enables you to keep up with the full scale farming world through your own small scale farm collection.
